Capture frequency

How often a schedule fires. Five presets cover most work; anything else is an interval you build yourself, down to a floor of ten minutes.

Preset cadences

Under When it runs, leave Cadence on Choose a preset and press one of the five buttons under How often. This is the right choice for almost every schedule. Nothing is chosen for you.

`10 Minutes`	Every ten minutes — the fastest cadence available.
`Hourly`	Every hour.
`Daily`	Once a day. The most common choice.
`Weekly`	Every seven days.
`Monthly`	Once a month.

A sitemap schedule runs at most once a day: its form offers only Daily, Weekly and Monthly, and an interval of your own must be at least 24 hours.

Frequency multiplies quickly

A single page at 10 Minutes is roughly 4,300 captures a month. Forty pages at that cadence is 172,000. Check the arithmetic against your plan before applying a fast cadence to a batch of URLs.

Custom intervals

Choose Set my own interval to build your own. The four boxes under Repeat every are added together into one repeating gap — they are not a calendar rule. As you type, the form says what the interval comes to and about how many captures a day it makes.

So 0 months, 3 days, 12 hours, 0 minutes means every three and a half days. Every box needs a number, even if it is 0. The total must come to at least ten minutes; anything shorter is refused.

This is an interval, not a cron expression

There is no day-of-week or day-of-month field on a schedule, and no cron syntax. If you need “weekdays only” or “the first of the month”, that is a Trigger Window on the Web Profile.

What the interval counts from

The interval is measured from when the schedule started — either the moment you saved it with Start set to Immediately, or the First capture at time you set.

A daily schedule saved at 09:40 fires at roughly 09:40 each day, not at midnight.
To land captures at a specific time, choose At a specific time and set First capture at to the first time you want it to run.
A Quick Capture does not move the schedule. The next scheduled run stays where it was.

Time zones

Every date and time you type is read in your account’s global time zone (set from the account menu), and every timestamp shown back to you is rendered in it. A schedule can pin its own zone instead — the Schedule Time Zone field on the form — for a page that should follow another region’s clock. A schedule left on “Use my global time zone” follows your setting, including when you change it later; its next run is recomputed in the new zone.

Restricting when captures run

Frequency says how often. A Trigger Window says when it is allowed — specific hours of the day, days of the week, or days of the month. It is attached to the Web Profile, so one window can govern every schedule that shares that profile. Captures you start by hand ignore it.

An hourly schedule with a window of 09:00–17:00 on weekdays captures eight times a working day and not at all at the weekend.
