Organization
Notifications
An inbox for the whole team. When a monitored page changes, a capture fails or the workspace needs attention, everyone who should know is told, not only the person who set up the schedule.
The inbox
Notifications is in the menu under Dashboard, with the number of unread notifications beside it. Everyone in the workspace has their own inbox.
- The Inbox tab lists your notifications, newest first. Filter it with All, Unread or one kind, and clear it with Mark all as read.
- The Settings tab chooses what appears in your inbox and, for people allowed to, sets the workspace notification address.
- Notifications are kept for 90 days, read or not.
What you are told about
| Value | Meaning |
|---|---|
Page changes | A monitored page looks different from its previous capture. Every member. See Change detection. |
Failed captures | A scheduled capture did not produce a screenshot. Every member. |
Paused schedules | Schedules were paused because storage is full or the subscription ended. One notification for all the schedules paused at once. Every member. |
Storage | The workspace’s storage is 80% full, full, or over the plan’s allowance. Every member. |
Webhooks | A webhook endpoint was switched off after failing too many times. People whose role can manage webhooks. |
Team | Somebody accepted an invitation and joined the workspace. People whose role can manage the team. |
A capture that succeeded is not a notification: it happens too often to be useful there. Being told about each capture is what the Web Profile’s capture email is for. For your own systems, use webhooks.
Roles decide the last two
Grouping
Repeated news does not become a long list. Page changes and failed captures of the same schedule, schedules paused for the same reason, and storage warnings join the unread notification of the same kind opened within the last hour, which counts them. Once you have read it, the next event starts a new one.
Hiding what you do not need
Under In the app on the Settings tab, switch off any kind you do not want in your inbox. It only affects you. Hidden notifications are still kept, so switching a kind back on shows them again.
Where emails go
Without a workspace notification address:
- Capture emails, including the “page changed” email, go to the person who made the schedule — when the Web Profile has them switched on and that person’s email address is confirmed.
- Storage warnings go to the workspace owner.
- Account emails — billing, invitations, security — always go to the people they are for.
The workspace notification address
On Business and Business Plus, the workspace can send its emails to one shared address instead — a team inbox rather than each person’s own. It is set under Workspace notification email on the Settings tab, by people whose role has the Workspace notifications capability.
| Value | Meaning |
|---|---|
Save and send confirmation | Sends a confirmation email to the address. Until someone there confirms it, emails go where they did before. Resend link sends it again. An address that already belongs to a confirmed member of the workspace is confirmed at once. |
Once confirmed | Capture emails go to the workspace address. Storage warnings go there and to the owner. Account emails still go to the people they are for. |
Unsubscribe | Every email sent to the address carries an unsubscribe link. Using it stops all email there until someone with the capability presses Resume. |
Change / Remove address | Replace the address, or go back to none. |
After a change of plan
Capture emails still need the Web Profile’s switch on and a confirmed address for the schedule’s creator: the workspace address changes where they go, not whether they are sent.
